Togo striker Adebayor suffers thigh problems and Belarus midfielder Hleb picked up a knee injury against West Ham in the Premiership last week.

They were named for the trip to Romania but it remains to be seen whether they will be fit enough to take part.

The duo joins a long injury list that includes Mathieu Flamini, Jens Lehmann, William Gallas, Tomas Rosicky and Eduardo da Silva.

Arsenal are in charge of Group H with three points and as many goals while Steaua are rooted with no points.
