Egyptian FA president Samir Zaher confirmed that Egypt will be represented by its national team in the Pan Arab Games next November.

Zaher announced the decision after meeting with Hassan Saqr, the Head of the Egyptian Higher Council of Sport late on Wednesday.

There had been rising tension between the EFA and the HCS over the past few weeks as the first wanted to set up a second-string Pharaohs side while Saqr wanted a full squad to guarantee the success of the competition played on home soil.

Zaher was also quoted saying on the EFA’s official website that the board members respect the decisions of the HCS and that there are no problems concerning the dates of the next elections.
