ميدو شارك كبديل "كالعادة"

After being injured against Everton last weekend, Egyptian striker Ahmed Hossam "Mido" could feature for Middlesbrough in Sunday's clash against Manchester City.

"Neither of them (Mido and Sanli Tuncay) has been yet ruled out of the game. All we can do is give them as long as we possibly can," coach Colin Cooper was quoted saying on the club's official website.

"Obviously we want people fit and if the medical staff dictate they can turn out on the training pitch on Thursday or Friday then we can pick them for Sunday. But if they don't, there's nothing we can do about it."

The 24-year-old striker had previously announced to FilGoal.com that he will be out for at least three weeks, maybe more.

He has been dropped from Egypt squad that will take on Botswana on October 13th.

But Cooper denied all these reports. "I don't think Mido's got any tear of any description so it's a case of giving him every opportunity."

Boro are in strikers' crisis as their top marksmen are injured. Manager Gareth Southgate could be forced to give young striker Tom Craddock a starting role.
