Ahli decided to suspend goalkeeper Amir Abdul-Hamid for two weeks, in addition to an EGP 50,000 fine, after he walked out of the Reds' Friday training session without permission.
The African champions' official web site announced that Abdul-Hamid's unprofessional behavior has been dealt with by means of football director Hossam Al-Badri.
The decision means that the deputy goalkeeper will be omitted from the crucial Champions League semi-final tie against Ittihad Libya on Sunday.
Abdul-Hamid has been playing for long as second fiddle to Egypt's number one Essam Al-Hadari, and the 28-year-old goalie has repeatedly expressed his frustration with lack of first-team football.
