"He is a young and has big ambitions to achieve," Livorno president Aldo Spinelli told Italian media.

Livorno fired former coach Fernando Orsi on Tuesday due to bad results. They are yet to win their first league game in seven attempts.

"Camolese has effective ideas and the players received the news of his appointment warmly," Spinelli added.

Camolese, who coached Torino, Vicenza and Reggina, has an uphill to climb as Livorno lie in the basement of the table with just two points.
