Hefni was initially appointed as a caretaker coach following the sacking of Taha Basri due to Ismaili's poor results that saw them crash out of the CAF Confederation Cup.

However, the Dervishes do not intend to approach a new foreign manager, opting to give their support to the current incumbent.

"We have the utmost confidence in Hefni's abilities. He can fulfill the ambitions of Ismaili fans," Anous told FilGoal.com.

"Hefni has been given all authority to decide on the players who should stay and the players who should leave."

Hefni's first game in charge of Ismaili will be against ENPPI in the Egyptian League on the 27th of October.
