Portsmouth Manager Harry Redknapp has expressed some fears about the next African Nations Cup as three of his key elements will be missing.

Ghanaian Sulley Muntari, Senegalese Papa Bouba Diop and Nigerian duo John Utaka and Nwankwo Kanu will travel to Ghana to represent their countries.

"We're strong but we'll lose four or five players for the Nations Cup and that will leave us short," he told BBC Sport.

Portsmouth had an impressive start of the season and are now fourth of the Premier League table, the situation which boost their hopes for a European spot.

"I only hope this result doesn't mean people are taking notice of us now. I just want us to keep picking up points away from home like we have been doing."

"I know people are talking about us being top six now but there are a lot of big clubs in and around us who will come on a run and it's only early days."
