Zamalek assistant coach Ayman Mansour believes that the team could still challenge for the league title, despite a 1-1 draw with lowly side Harras Al-Hodoud on Tuesday.
Zamalek overcame a strong start by the home side to draw level, as Mansour conceded that Ahmed Abdul-Ghani's second minute strike was decisive.
"The early goal surprised us, it was like starting the game behind," Mansour said after the match.
"Fortunately we managed to get an equalizer before half-time, but in the second half our physique did not help us."
The Whites lost their 13th point in ten games so far this season, but Mansour, who admitted his disappointment, said that the game is still on.
"The result is a bit frustrating because we wanted to win, but I think we could still challenge for the title and make up for our poor start,"
"We will work hard during the upcoming break in order to retain our lost form."
