The 29-year old Argentinean international has been officially unveiled by Boca on Friday after signing a 30-month contract.

"We're very pleased to have completed this negotiation, we're delighted to have Roman here for 30 months, and we're grateful to Villarreal, who have been very good to Boca," said the club vice-president Pedro Pompilio.

Riquelme has spent the past six months on loan at Boca Juniors after Villarreal coach Manuel Pellegrini said he doesn’t need him anymore.

"I`m having a really good day ... I`ve come back to my home, my club and I`m going to be lucky enough to put on the shirt that I`ve missed a lot for several months," said Riquelme.
