Hassan Mostafa said that he has no problems with Ahli manager Manuel Jose after the tenacious midfielder signed a new contract at the Cairo club.

Mostafa joined Saudi Arabia's Al-Wehda on loan from the Egyptian champions, where he failed to keep a regular place this term.

The 29-year-old has reportedly fallen out with the Portuguese coach, who usually relegated him to the bench this season.

"My relationship with Jose is fine, things were patched up after I agreed to extend my contract," he told Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadiya.

The Egypt international admitted that Jose's insistence to keep him on the bench for long spells was the main reason behind his decision to join Wehda.

"I lost my place in Ahli's starting eleven, that’s why I joined Wehda, I needed regular football but I understand Jose's point of view."
