AC Milan Captain Paolo Maldini dismissed speculations claiming that he would retire after the Club World Cup in Japan.
"I still have a contract with Milan until June of 2008 and I am prepared to strictly follow it," said Maldini.
"I am in such good condition and I don't intend to give up the contract before it expires," added the 39-year old defender.
Reports suggested that Maldini could put an end to his career if Milan win the Cup especially that he has been sidelined for most of the season with knee injuries.
The Milan legend announced that he would terminate a 22-year old career with the Rossoneri at the end of the 2007/2008 season.
