Ahli's Special One

Journalists are not obliged to accept Manuel Jose's improper remarks against them and shouldn't stop criticizing the Portuguese manager, who wants to be another 'special one'.

The Ahli boss, with a Jose Mourinho-style, has a habit of attacking journalists for no reason and the latest outburst was too rude that it sparked a state of repulsiveness among reporters.

Following Ahli's 3-0 victory over Aluminum, Jose launched a scathing attack on two reporters who recently criticized the way he deals with the team's youth academy.

He went on and accused them of 'not knowing anything about football' and threatened to ban one of them from entering the club's headquarters to cover the team's news.

No one can doubt Jose's tactical abilities, as he led Ahli to a host of trophies since his re-arrival in 2004. However, his achievements do not justify being arrogant and believing that no one has the right to question his decisions in footbaling matters.

Ahli are to blame for Jose's action because they are very lenient over anything related to him. The Red Devils never informed Jose that he has many responsibilities off-pitch, giving him the green light to 'fire at will' regardless of the consequences.

Furthermore, Jose's actions do not help the ongoing efforts to ease tensions between Ahli and their arch-rivals Zamalek. The former Sporting Lisbon coach needlessly pointed to what he believes 'Zamalek's failure to promote young talents to the first team'.

His statement is likely to intensify the clear hatred that exists between both sides and could also lead to very unfortunate consequences.
