Milan are set to waive eight veteran players, including Dida and Cafu, at the end of the season, according to the Gazzetta Dello Sport.

The European champions plan to part ways with players who are 34 or more, the Italian paper said.

Milan are 12th in the Italian League table, trailing leaders and arch-rivals Inter Milan with 25 points.

The board of directors believe the team should be rejuvenated to restore their position as title contenders next season.

Brazilian internationals Dida, Cafu and Ronaldo top the list of the unwanted players.

Keeper Dida has been in a poor form recently and was under fire recently after allowing a weak shot to float home in the 2-1 defeat in the derby.

Ronaldo is reportedly heading back to the Brazilian League and Cafu is set to retire the game.

Giuseppe Favalli, Serginho and Dario Simic are also on the list.

Frenchman Yoann Gourcuff will reportedly be on the transfer list while captain Paolo Maldini said he will hang up his boots in the end of the season.
