"I presented the offer to Adli Al-Qaeyi (Ahli's marketing manager)," Ahmed Swelam told FilGoal.com.

"He rejected it as he believes the price offered does not suit someone of Flavio's caliber. He demanded three million to offload my client.

"The offer was suitable because Flavio has just one year to run on his contract. The player also wants to move abroad."

On the other hand, Al-Qaeyi said Ahli haven't been officially contacted regarding any offer for the former Petro Atletico man.

"Swelam's words are inaccurate, we haven’t received any official bid for Flavio," he said.

"If Panathinaikos want to sign him, they have to table an official offer. Otherwise, we are not willing to be engaged in any talks."
