Zambia

Zambia, who face Egypt in the African Cup of Nations in Ghana, play Tunisia in a warm-up for the tournament on Sunday as they conduct a tour in North Africa.

"As former African champions, Tunisia will give us good preparations," Zambia coach Patrick Phiri was quoted as saying by Times of Zambia.

The two-time CAN runners-up will face the Carthage Eagles again just two days later before taking on Morocco on January 12th.

"The two games against them (Tunisia) will help us gauge our preparedness," Phiri added.

Successful Training Camp

Zambia have just concluded a training camp in Spain, where they played two friendlies.

The Chipolopolo suffered a 4-1 defeat to an Andalusia select side before trouncing Jerez, who play in Spanish fourth division, 11-1.

"The huge win demonstrated my players' hunger for goals. I hope we could repeat it in Ghana," Phiri said.

"The environment in Spain was excellent for the players. Thanks to the Spanish Football Federation for their hospitality which made the players feel at home."

Defending champions Egypt face Zambia in Group C of CAN, which also features Cameroon and Sudan.
