Will Abdi get back to Tunisia?

Tunisia manager Roger Lemerre has named his 23-man final squad for the African Nations Cup in Ghana, 20 January – 10 February.

His choices included 13 African-based players: 8 from African Champions Etoile du Sahel, 3 from Esperance, 1 from Club Africain and Wissem El-Abdi from Egyptian side Zamalek.

Cannes striker Issam Jemaa made it to Ghana as he just suffers from a minor injury after picking up a knock against Zambia last Tuesday.

Tunisia will have to battle against South Africa, Senegal and Angola in group D.

The squad:

Goalkeepers: Hamdi Kasrawi (Esperance), Adel Nefzi (Club Africain), Ayman Mathlouthi (Etoile du Sahel)

Defenders: Wissam El-Abdi (Zamalek, Egypt), Saber Ben Frej, Seif Ghezal, Mehdi Meriah, Radhouane Felhi (Etoile du Sahel), Karim Haggui (Bayer Leverkusen, Germany), Yassine Mikari (Grasshopper, Switzerland), Radhi Jaidi (Birmingham City, England), Wissem Bekri (Esperance).

Midfielders: Chaouki Ben Saada (Bastia, France), Jawhar M'Nari (Nürnberg, Germany), Mehdi Nafti (Birmingham City, England), Kamel Zaiem (Esperance), Chaker Zouaghi (Lokomotiv Moscow, Russia), Majdi Traoui (Etoile Sahel)

Strikers: Yassine Chikhaoui (FC Zürich, Switzerland), Francileudo Silva Dos Santos (Toulouse, France), Issam Jemaa (Caen, France), Mohamed Amine Chermiti (Etoile Sahel), Mehdi Ben Dhifallah (Etoile Sahel).
