Sudan goalkeeper Bahaa Al-Deen Mohamed has been excluded from his side's squad for the African Cup of Nations.

Al-Merrikh goalie Mohamed Kamal has been called-up to replace his club teammate, according to local paper Al-Sadda.

Mohamed has recently picked up a knee injury and was rated doubtful for CAN, which kicks-off on Sunday.

However, Al-Sadda reported that his omission is down to his recent disappointing displays rather than the injury.

Hilal keeper Al-Moez Mahgoub is likely to be Sudan's first-choice keeper in the Ghana showpiece.

Sudan, who reached CAN finals for the first time in 32 years, will play in Group C along with Egypt, Cameroon and Zambia.
