Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson hit out at referee Mark Clattenburg after his side snatched a late draw against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premiership.

Dimitar Berbatov's strike in the first period put Tottenham one up but Carlos Tevez scored in the 90th minute as United grabbed a point from White Hart Lane.

"We had seven booked but my problem is with the referee," Ferguson said after the game.

"Ronaldo is hacked down, but Jermaine Jenas gets nothing.

"Then Wayne Rooney is booked for diving, Tom Huddlestone dives and is not booked. It's chaos."

The draw meant United became two points adrift of Arsenal, who beat Manchester City 3-1 to top the league.

But Ferguson didn't forget to hail the work of Tottenham's new coach Juande Ramos.

"I must say Spurs were very good and must take credit. They are on the up, Juande Ramos has done a fantastic job," the Scott said.
