Egypt assistant coach Hamada Sedki revealed the difficult minutes his side have endured in the 2-1 victory over Angola on Monday.

The title holders advanced to the African Cup of Nations semi-finals after surviving Angola scare.

However, it wasn't a smooth victory as The Black Impalas proved to be a resistant force throughout the game.

"We lost control in midfield early in the second-half," Sedki told Egyptian TV after the match.

"That's why we made some changes which proved pivotal in helping our team regain their supremacy."

Central defender Shadi Mohamed was switched to the left flank after Mahmoud Fathallah replaced left-back Sayed Moawad.

"Ze Kalanga was causing us troubles down the left; we had to oppose his threat. We also replaced Moawad because he was booked and risked getting a red card," Sedki added.
