Egypt won a record sixth continental title after a much-deserved 1-0 victory over Cameroon on Sunday.

"Their spirit was absolutely great throughout the tournament," the prolific striker told Modern TV after the match.

"We were all representing Egypt, bringing it glory was our main target."

The Zamalek striker, who scored four goals in the tournament, expressed his delight at being chosen in Africa's XI.

"It is an honor to be named in Africa's best team. I'm also very happy to have contributed to this historic achievement," he added.
