Inter

Serie A new-comers Napoli have handed holders Inter Milan their first defeat this season, recording a famous 1-0 victory at San Paolo on Sunday.

Marcelo Zalayeta capitalized on a third-minute error by Brazilian goalkeeper Julio Cesar to score the only goal of the game and hand the champions their first defeat in 25 games.

However, the Uruguayan forward missed a second-half penalty, which was brilliantly saved by Cesar.

Despite the result, Inter remained top with 61 points, but their lead over Roma was cut to six points after the Giallorossi's 4-0 drubbing of Parma on Saturday.

Fiorentina Stun Juve Late

Fiorentina bounced back from a goal down to snatch a dramatic 3-2 victory from Juventus in Turin.

Argentine striker Daniel Pablo Osvaldo scored in injury time to give Viola their first Turin victory in two decades.

Massimo Gobbi opened the scoring for Fiorentina, but Mohamed Sissoko and Mauro Camoranesi gave Juve the lead before Papa Waigo leveled the scoring for the visitors.

Fiorentina reached 47 points to minimize the gap with third-placed Juve to only one point.
