Real Madrid winger Arjen Robben will be sidelined for between three and six weeks after suffering an ankle injury in last weekend's 3-2 win at Recreativo da Huelva.
The Dutchman was hit by a fierce challenge from Recreativo's Quique Alvarez, who was subsequently sent off.
Robben will miss Wednesday's crunch Champions League game against AS Roma, who have a 2-1 first leg lead over the Spanish champions.
The former Chelsea man has had an injury-plagued season with Real as he failed to justify his hefty €36M move from Stamford Bridge last summer.
