Emad Meteb's poised transfer to Russia's FC Saturn is unlikely to be completed after the two parties failed to agree in terms of the transfer period, the Ahli player's agent said.
Meteb demanded to go on loan, but Saturn ruled out the option, preferring to lure the Egypt striker permanently.
"Meteb asked for a season-long loan in order to cope with the tough conditions in Russia, but Saturn rejected," agent Nader Shawki told FilGoal.com.
"He will stay with Ahli for now, even though Saturn are still interested and talks may resume in June."
The 25-year-old striker was valued for €3M by the Russian outfit and Ahli seemed to have accepted the offer.
However, the player's preference hindered the move, which means he will be available for the Reds against Zamalek on Friday.
