Roma will face probably their worst nightmare as they were drawn with Manchester United in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League.

The draw that was held on Friday put Arsenal against Liverpool while Barcelona were paired with German side Schalke.

Chelsea got the seemingly easiest opponent as they were set to play Turkish club Fenerbahce.

Russia's legendary goalkeeper Rinat Dasaev picked the draw, in Nyon, Switzerland.

The first-leg matches will be played on 1/2 April while the return games will be staged on 8/9 April.

Italy's only survivors Roma will have to repeat their clash with Manchester, who humiliated them 8-3 on aggregate in the same phase last season.

Theatre of Dreams

Roma received the heaviest European defeat in the history of Italian football in Old Trafford, which is known as "Theatre of Dreams," but turned to a nightmare as the Romans lost 7-1.

They met again in the group stage in the current edition, with United winning 1-0 at home. They settled for a 1-1 draw in Roma.

In an all-English tie, Arsenal, who ousted holders Milan in the last round, will play last year finalists Liverpool.

Arsenal are in the charge of the Premiership table and Liverpool are struggling to snatch fourth place.

But this won't be important information when they face off.

The five-time champions Liverpool are known of their impressive European display under manager Rafa Benitez.

Arsenal are still chasing their first Champions League title.

They played each other once this season at Anfield, where they drew 1-1.
