Egyptian striker Ahmed Hossam "Mido" has been handed a three-match ban following his sending off in the 1-1 draw against Arsenal while his fellow countryman Mohamed Shawky suffers from a stamp on the toe.
The Middlesbrough striker was dismissed just 10 minutes after coming from the substitution bench for a tough foul on Gael Clichy.
A statement on the club's website said that Boro have decided not to appeal against Mido's red card after consulting match referee Mark Halsey and Premier League head of referees Keith Hackett.
Manager Gareth Southgate will have to do without his Big Man in three crucial games as the Reds will play Derby County, Chelsea and Manchester United respectively.
Shawky, who picked a minor knock against the Gunners, is very doubtful for next Saturday's clash game Derby County but he will be available just after.
