Harras Al-Hodoud held Mouloudia Alger to a goalless away draw in the first-leg of the Confederation Cup round of 32 on Friday.

Neither side impressed in a dull affair, but Al-Hodoud will be pleased with the result that relatively favors them in the second leg.

Mouloudia striker Abdelmalek Cherrad squandered a clear-cut opportunity just before the break when he missed an open goal with a poor header.

Al-Hodoud's Abdul-Rahman Farouk went close to breaking the deadlock ten minutes after restart but his powerful drive narrowly missed the target.

Both teams seemed satisfied with the goalless stalemate afterwards as they rarely threatened each other's net.
