Ahli center-half Rami Adel is facing four weeks on the sidelines after scans proved that he tore a thigh muscle.

Adel picked up the injury during the 2-0 victory over Zamalek, and Ahli said that he only had a bruised thigh.

However, the Egyptian champions' official site stated that the injury of the in-form defender is much worst and that he will be ruled out for up to a month.

The 28-year-old established his place at the heart of Ahli's backline in recent weeks, following the absence of Ahmed Al-Sayed and the loaned-out Wael Gomaa.

Meanwhile, striker Osama Hosni is close to recovering from a recurring thigh problem, which kept him for most of the current season.

Ahli doctor Ehab Ali indicated that the Egypt international could be back in action soon after completing his rehabilitation.
