The Red Devils had full control of the game but Emad Meteb and Ahmed Belal failed to convert despite playing against a 10-man side.

"We dominated possession but the strikers didn't do their job," Al-Badri said after the game.

Belal, who played instead of suspended Flavio, looked rusty after a long spell on the sidelines.

Meteb, on the other hand, continued his habit of squandering easy chances.

"They had many easy chances and should have done better."

Defending midfielder Ahmed Fathi scored the only goal of the game from a 30-yard strike.
