Al-Akhbar stated that Lemerre has demanded to postpone any talks until he arrives in Cairo on April 20th to take part in the 2008 African Cup of Nations review.

Lemerre, who guided France to Euro 2000 triumph, was sacked as Tunisia coach following the team's exit in the last eight of the Nations Cup in Ghana.

Despite Zamalek's board insistence that they trust Ruud Krol, it is highly unlikely that the Dutchman will remain at the helm next season.
