Abdul-Hamid Al-Zidani, 67, cancelled Ahmed Eid Abdul-Malak’s 33rd minute opener to keep the Libyans a glimmer of hope before the second leg that will be played in Alexandria in two weeks.

Harras Al-Hodoud were the better of the two courtesy to their short passing game in midfield.

Not for too long as the hosts were well on top after 20 minutes with Zidani and Al-Shahat creating a major threat.

However Abdul-Malek managed to give the visitors the lead throw a superb long-range shot that went in the top corner.

Zidani leveled the equalizer from close range meeting Anis Fadel’s cross to end the game on a 1-1 draw.
