Zamalek go through

Zamalek coach Ruud Krol is set to give a chance to the players who didn’t get much playing time lately when his side host Aluminum in the Egyptian League on Monday.

Combative defender Beshir Al-Tabie is set to start the game after recovering from injury.

Dutch tactician Krol is hoping to have Al-Tabie fully fit when Zamalek take on Angola's Interclube in the second leg of the CAF Champions League round of 16.

Egypt defender Mahmoud Fathallah is also included but is unlikely to be fielded against Aluminum.

Defender Amr Al-Safti, who has been a regular starter recently, won't feature in the game after being rested.

Skipper Hazem Emam, who will probably retire at the end of the season, may get a rare starting berth.

Striker Abdul-Halim Ali, who has become out of favor with Krol, is expected to partner Amr Zaki upfront.

Krol directs his attention towards Interclube clash although there is a lot to play for in the Egyptian League.

Zamalek aim to finish as runners-up behind champions Ahli in order to play in the CAF Champions League next season.

Zamalek squad:

Goalkeepers: Abdul-Wahed Al-Sayed, Mohamed Abdul-Monsef

Defenders: Tarek Al-Sayed, Beshir Al-Tabie, Osama Hassan, Karim Zekri, Mahmoud Fathallah, Ahmed Magdi, Mohamed Abdullah, Ahmed Hossam

Midfielders: Magdi Attwa, Ahmed Abdul-Raouf, Shikabala, Mohamed Ibrahim, Hazem Emam

Forwards: Gamal Hamza, Sherif Ashraf, Amr Zaki, Abdul-Halim Ali
