Manuel Jose is in dogged search for a goalkeeper, following the shocking transfer of Essam Al-Hadari to Sion last month.

Apart from Hadari's departure, Amir Abdul-Hamid struggled with injuries lately, leaving Jose with inexperienced duo Ahmed Abdul-Monem and Mohamed Shennawi.

The Reds were linked with Aluminum keeper Mohamed Khalaf, but both clubs failed to agree on a transfer fee.

"We are monitoring Saad, especially after Khalaf's deal has become impossible," an Ahli source told FilGoal.com.

Aluminum demanded EGP 2M for 30-year-old Khalaf, who conceded 46 goals in 27 games this season.
