Zamalek goalkeeper Abdul-Wahed Al-Sayed believes that being drawn with arch rivals Ahli in the same CAF Champions League group could be a privilege for the Whites.

A deadly Group A saw the Egyptian giants drawn together, alongside Ivory Coast's ASEC and Dynamos Harare of Zimbabwe.

"I couldn’t have asked for a better draw, it gives us the opportunity to play four games at home," Abdul-Wahed told FilGoal.com.

"I prefer to face Ahli in Cairo rather than play at Enyimba or Hilal."

Two-time champions Enyimba will vie with Hilal, who ousted Zamalek last season, in Group B which also includes Congo's Mazembe and Cameroon's Cotonsport.

Ahli and Zamalek, who both have five African titles to their records, will kick off their quarter-finals campaign against each other in July.

"The opening game will be crucial, and we know that Ahli vs. Zamalek clashes are always difficult," added the Egypt international.

The last continental confrontation between Ahli and Zamalek came in the 2005 competition's semis, where Ahli won both legs before clinching the title.
