The Ligue1 champions needed an extra-time goal from winger Sidney Govou to deny PSG the cup double this season, following their League Cup victory.

Goal hero Govou, who was selected by France coach Raymond Domenech for next month's Euro 2008, was delighted with his first cup title at Stade Gerland.

"We’re ever so happy because it’s been such a long season and we had waiting for this for years," Govou told reporters.

"The Cup is something special. Maybe this means more to me than to others because I’ve won everything with Lyon."
