Yehia steered Telecom Egypt to promotion to the Premier League but his side struggled among Egypt's top clubs.

Telecom Egypt were strong candidates for relegation till the last week of the competition, but they managed to secure their place in the top flight.

Yehia was expected to stay at the helm of Telecom Egypt but the club opted for the more experienced Toulan.

Toulan worked as assistant coach in Zamalek, where he used to play.

He registered impressive results as Harras Al-Hodoud manager before switching to Masri in the beginning of last season.

He was sacked after a few games due to bad results.
