Zambrotta's move to San Siro was inevitable after the former Juventus full-back recently declared his willingness to return to the Serie A.

The 31-year-old should, who can play on both flanks, is Milan's first signing this summer as the Rossoneri look to reinforce their over-age squad.

Zambrotta is currently with the Italy squad in Switzerland, where they will face Holland in the Euro 2008 finals on June 8th.
