The German tactician and Josef Hickersberger of Austria have been sent off last Monday during the game between the two sides for arguing with the fourth referee.

This decision by the Control and Disciplinary Body is not subject to any appeal.

The German officials are not happy with the ruling ahead of their crucial quarter final clash.

"We are united, we play for Germany and we play for our coach and we want to express our disappointment and do it on the pitch by beating Portugal,” said defender Clemens Fritz.
