Messi is considered one of Barcelona's stars and is deemed untouchable by the Catalan giants, especially with Samuel Eto'o and Ronaldinho's imminent departure from Nou Camp.

"For the moment we are thinking of Barcelona, which is a second home for Leo, and he wants to make up for all his injury problems," Jorge Messi, who is also the player's agent, told Sportal.

"Having said that, clearly playing in Italy is the dream of every player, including my son," he explained.

The 21-year-old Messi has attracted interest from top Italian sides over the past two years.

"Seeing as nobody knows what will happen in the future, let us just say it is possible that sooner or later that dream can come true," Jorge added.

Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti is a big fan of the Argentinean international and has made no secret of it, however, Messi's father insists there has been no official contact with the Nerazzuri.

"Nothing official. I prefer not to add anything else to that statement," he said. "As I said before, things could change in the future."
