The French side sent an official letter to the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) on Thursday saying that they do not possess any rights on the player who belongs to Ismaili now.

The Dervishes have announced a few days earlier that they reached an agreement with their French counterparts to keep their influential midfielder.

The compromise stipulates that Ismaili should pay 300,000 euros for Strasbourg in addition to the previous 500 000 euros paid last year to hold Abd-Rabou.

Ahli, who have already bought the player in 2007 from Strasbourg, are still silent and are set to make an official statement in the next few hours.
