Manager Sergio Batista has chosen Riquelme, Mascherano and Inter defender Nicolas Burdisso as the three over-age players to lead a star-studded squad in Beijing.

With the likes of Messi, Aguero, Real's Fernando Gago and Bayern's Jose Sosa, El Albicelestes are hot favorites for the title.

Argentina begin their matches on August 7th against Ivory Coast, then the 10th against Australia and 13th against Serbia.
