Bremen finished second behind champions Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga last season, which means they will play in the Champions League in 2008-2009.

"We want to continue to offer attractive football which thrills the fans and us as well," Schaaf told Uefa.com.

"We want to be able to do what is fun. Of course we also want to challenge for the title."

Schaaf led Bremen to the German double in 2004 as the Bundesliga side managed to qualify to the Champions League ever since.
