The Whites have beaten arch rivals Ahli to the signature of the 28-year-old, in a three-year-deal believed to be around EGP 13M.

Ahli have enquired for the services of Saied on Friday, but Ismaili decided to go with the Zamalek option.

Saied is expected to pen the deal on Sunday, before joining the team's pre-season training camp.

He was a key member of Egypt squad in this year's African Cup of Nations triumph in Ghana.

The former Bari defender was linked with French Ligue1 side St. Etienne and Russia's Spartak Moscow last season.
