According to Spanish newspaper Terra the Brazilian-born player met with the club's President Fernando Alfonso and made his point clear.

"I want to stay at Villarreal and I know that there are rumors flying around about interest from other clubs."

The 30-year old midfielder produced a brilliant display in Spain's glorious EURO 2008 campaign.

He has been a top target for many clubs especially Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Manchester City.

Villarreal were willing to offload him at a good price but apparently Senna is not going anywhere.
