Nader Al-Sayed failed to complete his proposed move from ENPPI to Ittihad after the latter's board blocked the transfer, the Alexandria-based club announced on Wednesday.
The approval of coach Taha Basri, in addition to an agreement with chairman Mohamed Moselhi were not enough to help the veteran keeper seal the deal, as the majority of board members rejected his arrival.
Al-Sayed has rarely featured for ENPPI last season, after he joined from Egyptian champions Ahli, where he also spent most of his time on the bench.
The former Club Brugge goalie is one of the most successful goalkeepers in Egypt's history, as he holds a record of 110 international caps with the national team
