Bayern and Fiorentina were eliminated from the UEFA Cup semi-finals last term, but Toni hopes to set up a final date with Viola at Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

"A Bayern-Fiorentina Final in Rome isn’t an wild dream. In football everything is possible," he told Calcio 2000.

"Historically, Bayern are a club who are more accustomed to being protagonists in certain competitions, but Fiorentina are carrying out an important project and getting important results.

"To be honest I wouldn’t be surprised if we met the Viola in the Final."

The Bundesliga champions will return to the Champions League next season, following their German double achievement in 2007-2008.
