The Egypt midfielder is at the center of a controversial case involving Egyptian champions Ahli, Ismaili and French side Strasbourg.

"I am looking forward to the new challenge with Ahli Dubai, I feel relieved with the move because I felt under severe pressure in late," he told Emirates Today newspaper.

"I hope to win trophies here and I know Ahli are a big club. I also want to thank club officials for the warm reception."

Abd-Rabou is reportedly considered Ahli's big hit this summer as the Emirate side aim to get a hand on the title after finishing third in the league last season.
