Gilberto missed out on the Reds' Egyptian Super Cup triumph against Zamalek last Sunday due to an ankle injury.

The influential winger was unlikely to catch up with the ASEC game initially, but Ahli's official site said that he has achieved great progress in the past couple of days.

Manuel Jose will decide later on whether to include Gilberto in Ahli's squad, which is supposed to fly to Abidjan late on Tuesday.
