The veteran frontman missed Zamalek's 2-0 defeat to Ahli in the Egyptian Super Cup after suffering a foot bruise.

But he is now in line to participate against Zimbabwe's Dynamos on Sunday.

"Ali nears full recovery," Zamalek doctor Mostafa Al-Monairi told the club's official website on Friday.

"He will undergo intensive rehabilitation today and tomorrow to be fit for the African encounter."

However, it remains to be seen whether Zamalek coach Reiner Hollmann would include Ali in his starting line-up.

The German tactician has recently said his side needed to sign two more strikers to provide sufficient support to Ghanaian Junior Agogo upfront.

Despite having Ali, Sherif Ashraf and Mostafa Gaafar at his disposal, Hollmann seemingly doesn't relay on any of them in his plans for next season.
