A statement on the club's website said that Ahli will drop all their legal actions against the player who has confirmed that he doesn't want to play for the Red Devils.

"The Ahli board decided not to complain Hosni Abd-Rabou to FIFA, so that the player does not get punished," the statement read.

"The club will not chase a player who clearly said that he doesn't want to play for Ahli.

However, Ahli said that the Ismaili midfielder must refund the sums he had received from the Cairo club last year when he signed the four-year deal.

The statement also revealed that the board will sue the French club Strasbourg for breach of contract as Ahli bought the player from them last year worth 700,000 euros.
