Zidan remains out of favor

Hamburg's Egyptian forward Mohamed Zidan recently withdrew from his role in upcoming cinema project ‘El-Zamahlawiya’, starred by singer-actor Mohamed Fouad.

The famous footballer previously agreed to star in the movie alongside his personal buddy, Mohamed Fouad.

Zidan, who has no previous cinema experience, was set to play Fouad’s little brother in the film that will feature football stars from both Ahli and Zamalek teams.

The film’s scenario is co-written by Fouad and actor Tamer Abdelmoneim and the story was penned by Fouad himself who tailored Zidan’s role to match the football star.

Zidan, 26, is playing friendly games with German side Hamburg in order to be fit for the team's Bundesliga opener against defending champions Bayern Munich on August 15th.
